Boyhood

A book cover based off of the film Boyhood. Boyhood is a film that chronicles the life of a boy, progressing from the age of 6 to 18. The film became renound for its ability to encapsulate the way our expereinces during the early stages of our lives lead to shaping the persona we evolve to be.

To demonstrate this, the design implements the image of a man coming into focus over the course of 12 steps. Around the man are different colored dots to represent positive and negative experiences. These same colors take shape within the figure to depict how these experiences are rooted in the man’s personality.
